Banff Nightlife
Banff nightlife is more than just resting for your next day of adventure. After Banff visitors are finished skiing, boarding, hiking, golfing, or spa-ing for the day, they head out and make this mountain town come alive. NIGHTCLUBS IN BANFF DANCING SASQUATCH The newest club on the Ave with likely the most awesome name of any nightclub in any national park anywhere, Dancing Sasquatch gives you everything you crave in a hot nightspot. If you don't know what a sasquatch is, it is probably best described as mythical man-imal bear-gorilla cross ... like UFOs, there have been many "sightings" and fuzzy photographic proof put forward, but nothing confirmed ... though maybe you will see him after a hard night at the DS! AURORA For late night clubbers in Banff, the Aurora is also the place to be. The club is a complete contemporary urban dance club and bar in Banff, with a main bar and several other bars, dance floor with fantastic sound system (of course), as well as a connected lounge for chilling out that has its own bar, leather sofas, and a pool table. The Aurora is proof of what is true for most of the rest of Banff: the fact that Banff is a small town does not mean that it is not world class, and those that are at home in clubs in Toronto, New York or Tokyo will find themselves at home at the Aurora. The Aurora is located at 110 Banff Avenue.
Hoodoo Lounge is another great late night spot. Unlike Aurora, it is slightly off of Banff Avenue, and is located in the basement of the building that houses the Maple Leaf Grill and Earls, but this does not mean that the atmosphere is any less fantastic.
ZONAS LATE NIGHT BISTRO Located at 710 - 9th Street in Canmore (ask locals for directions to Zonas Alley), Zonas is a restaurant/bistro that gets its club gear on when the dinner hours are over. Zonas is a great place to make the scene with the Canmore crowd.
