Banff Wedding ChurchesThis page contains our list of Banff Wedding Churches, broken down by denomination, and our list of wedding commissioners. While any church may agree to marry you regardless of your denomination, please be aware that some churches may only choose to perform marriages where one or both of you are members of that particular denomination or faith. Banff churches are certainly accustomed to performing marriages and may have a set fee for performing a wedding, but if they do not have a set fee, the customary honorarium is around $200. If you cannot find a church, don't fret, as a marriage commissioner can get you married just as legally and may also agree to do it at an outside location by the Bow River, a lake, on a mountaintop ... wherever you can dream it (and afford the fee to have the marriage commissioner get there!). ROMAN CATHOLIC St. Mary's Catholic Church, Banff. Located at the corner of Lynx and Squirrel Street (35 Squirrel Street), this beautiful stone church has a lovely marble alter area that makes a beautiful backdrop for your nuptuals. Phone (403) 678-5022 for information on weddings here and at Sacred Heart in Canmore. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Canmore. Located at 810 - 7th Street in Canmore (a half block off of Main Street), this church would definitely do for a wedding, but St. Mary's should be your first choice (a prettier church and located right in Banff, if that is where your reception is going to be). ANGLICAN St. George's Anglican Church, Banff, is located at the junction of Buffalo and Beaver Streets. Call (403) 762-2128.
